We’ll use this page for updates on what’s new at Yudoozy, feature developments, announcements, articles we’re reading and freelancer best practices.
With that in mind, we’d like to share some feedback so far and some pointers on how to get work through Yudoozy.
We’ve only recently let a select few employers loose in to Yudoozy while we tighten up a few areas and make some improvements based on early feedback - it’s beta after all.
One vital point that has been made clear to us so far has been the importance of completing your bio and work history. One employer said they will not contact someone who does not have a complete profile, just a portfolio link is not enough. One of Yudoozy’s benefits to employers is being able to view a number of available freelancers at a quick glance and get a sense of what they do. If there are other potential candidates who have a completed profile and yours is as empty as the Australian rugby team’s trophy cabinet (couldn’t help it) then you’re not going to get work.
The other point communicated to us has been how much everyone wants this to succeed within the freelancer/contractor community. Recent press coverage and quick growth has put us in the spotlight (which is great), but we’re iterating fast still and working flat out towards bringing the future of freelancing into reality - a reality without middlemen, without losing $10 an hour from your rate to accommodate a fee and without playing phone tennis with clients just to communicate your availability for the next few months. It’s close. Thanks for your patience and being awesome.
