What is Yudoozy?
What's this all about then?
Yudoozy is a simple to use tool that enables contractors to list their skills, cost and availability so that direct 'vetted' employers can see it. They then contact you direct through your chosen method of communication to discuss the project. No middle men. No hidden fee's. No worries.
Vetted, you say?
We do say. We check out all of our users to make sure they are who they say they are. This means you won't be contacted by a company based in southern Kazakhstan about a flash gig that doesn't exist...or worse.
Will I be vetted also?
Yep. To make sure clients have a level of trust in using Yudoozy, and you, we make sure we check people's details. We'll ask for a reference and a few extra criteria to make sure you're indeed who you say you are. We will send you an email about this once you've joined.
Specific real world Scenarios
Am I obligated to accept every contract that comes my way?
No. You and the client discuss the details and if the shoe doesnt fit, don't put it on. We want you to have a wide choice of projects to make sure you pick the one that makes you happy.
What happens if I get double booked?
Sorry, you'll need to manage this the same way you would currently. We can supply you with the tools, but we're not some magical entity that can rewind time (time travel is earmarked for version 2.0).
When I join, does this mean I have to work exclusively with yudoozy clients?
Not at all. We would love to be your one stop shop for finding work and managing your availability. It makes sense to have everything in one place, but in the real world you will have existing clients who might only ever need you and not other freelancers, so we wouldn't ask you to sign your life over to us. Feel free to send those clients our way though, that way they can see your availability ahead of time and won't need to pester you to keep them in the loop.

I'm currently in a contract but if something better came along, I'd like to hear about it. Am I available or busy?
You, my friend are the reason we created the category 'try me'. This is for people who are open to being contacted but not 'available'. We gotchu.
Can I turn off the weekly availability emails?
You can Unsubscribe. Some people need reminding and sometimes even the most active user will forget to update their availability so we prefer you not to!
Can I turn off Live Job Email Notifications?
Yes, jump into settings on your freelancer profile and un-tick; 'Receive emails about jobs in your field' this will turn all notifications off.
Awesome, how do I pay?
Yudoozy is completely free for freelancers. Go spend your money elsewhere on cool stuff like lightsabers or shoes that lace themselves!
Awesome, how do I get paid?
The client pays you direct. As we're still in beta, we've not built a payment or booking system just yet. This is on the cards later down the line but for now there are a number of awesome products out there to do your account and generating invoices.

Yudoozy is a platform for freelancers to list their skills, availability and contact details so when you need to fill a gap in the team you can find your own resource and contact them directly. You can run searches based on the skills you need and see the freelancers matching those skills along with their up to date availability. You can even favourite the freelancers you want to keep tabs on for future gigs. No trying to remember long lost contractors, no bloated hourly rates because of fee's and no more pitching for work then frantically calling everyone in your contacts list. Life simplified - thank us later.
How much does this all cost?
You can pay a one-off fee of $99 for Two Weeks Access to the Full Product Stack OR pay a monthly subscription fee for your chosen Yudoozy plan. Plans include: Startup $29 per month or Pro $79 per month. This is billed monthly to the credit card allocated.
What is included in my subscription?
You have 24/7 unlimited access to New Zealand based freelancers. We don't charge extra on their hourly rate, or per hire, or per anything. You can contact as many as you like, run as many searches as you like - it's all included.
Can I cancel (Snooze) my subscription at anytime?
Yes, after your first month you can Snooze, we understand that recruitment is seasonal. Inside your account settings you can choose to snooze your account, this means you will no longer have access or be charged for the product but you keep all of your saved searches if you want to sign up again later, win - win.
Are you recruiters?
No. Well, we used to be. Don't hold that against us as it actually makes us perfect for starting this. We saw the frustrations of the current model from both sides of the fence and all the possible scenarios that can happen, which puts us in an awesome position to change things for the better.
How good are the freelancers?
We take all of our freelancers through a vetting process (the little green 'v' you'll see next to their profile pic in the site) which includes reference checks and a bit of snooping on LinkedIn of course. We accept all levels of skills from junior to super-ninja seniority.
What's the catch?
No catch. We saw a better way of working and threw caution to the wind.
Specific real world scenarios
What if I contact a freelancer who is listed as available and they are really busy?
Unfortunately, this is a possibility. We do our best to verify and never assume a freelancers availability. They can set their schedule up to 12 weeks in advanced, then they receive a weekly email to verify this is still the case. If one or two have slipped through the cracks then let us know.
What if I book someone for a contract and they are not as skilled as they've made out?
We do our best to make sure the freelancer is representing themselves at the right level but if you feel like they have misled you in anyway then please let us know asap. We do advise that you discuss in detail the contract and what the job entails with the freelancer prior to booking them on to the project...sounds obvious but you'd be surprised.
What if I need a permanent employee?
Good question. We can recommend a number of awesome products to advertise for permanent employees and one recruitment agency we know of *cough razzbri cough cough* but we do not have a permanent jobs board or anything here, sorry.

Why can't I search overseas freelancers like those other sites?
We believe in our local talent and growing New Zealand's freelance industry.
Why can't I create separate logins for other team members?
We're working on it for version 2.0.
